I love having a nosey around other people's gardens, great 'warts and all' photos! 👏

Have you tried baked Kale? Just spread it out on a baking tray, sprinkle with a touch of olive oil and sesame seeds if you have them, put it in the oven at 200 and watch it like a hawk for about 4 mins.

In the bit between raw and burnt you get the most amazing crisps! I love them! 🥰

Don't be too hard on yourself. Last week I visited a permaculture garden and food forest and the lady there spoke a lot about moving with your own seasons. She had just given birth a couple months ago and the whole garden wasn't looking very pretty, but still producing. It made me realise that I needed to step away from focusing on how things look and just focus on what I can do in the garden, even if it's just a little bit, even if it's only five minutes today to go around and do one little thing. Enjoy your course!

That’s so true, we can’t do it all or spend all our time doing it (shame) but a little at a time is good. I love the idea of working with your own seasons, it makes so much sense 💚

I have an old apple tree that’s in desperate need of a prune - I used to do it myself but it’s got very out of hand now. I’m also thinking it needs taking out completely as it’s totally in the wrong place. The ‘grass’ is also a disaster full of weeds and about 1 ft tall. I might pay a gardener to get the big stuff done so then I can keep in up more easily myself.

Oh no don’t take it out please! Definitely get someone in to give it a really good prune & cut it down to size. There’s still time to do it this winter. Our grass is also very long!

I will need to get someone in to help so perhaps if they give it a really big prune. It’s not in a great place and I think it has a disease maybe as the leaves get curled up and lots of the apples turn rotten. I’ll get someone advice :)

I used to love to garden but recently I’ve lost my enthusiasm. Maybe it will return…

I think it’s difficult to feel too inspired during winter - see what spring brings 🌷

Ah, how lovely to have nasturtium at this time of year! Sadly missed in our every lunchtime 'as you like it' salad, since the first winter west coast storm cut it down to size!

It’s so tasty in salad isn’t it? It’s not got much life left in it, so it might be time to go, the flowers aren’t as crisp sadly. It’ll also give me an opportunity collect the millions of seeds it’s left behind!!
