Oh wow a trip down memory lane 😲😅 I'm pretty sure my first email was to my best friend 😊 tell me more about the productivity tool that links in with your email by the way

It's a task/project management tool, there are a few about, like Monday, Trello, Click-up but my preferred one is Asana. I couldn't run my business without it, or remember things like 'book Kiki's 6 monthly check-up at the vet'. If Asana & my online calendar disappeared I would have nothing to do, well that's what I'd tell myself anyway! Asana: https://asana.com/

This is fascinating- I feel a post brewing about the first time I ever SAW a computer…it was long before email!

Thank you Helen - what a great story. I was definitely one of those 30 kids scrabbling to look at a computer!!

What a great memory! It does seem like a hundred years ago now, with the pace of change since then. If it's any consolation, the medics and vets are out on the periphery now too in modern buildings - medics at the new Royal Infirmary at Little France, and vets waaaayout at Easter Bush. It's basically Ultima Thule compared to KB.

We must have deigned to give students email access later than staff. I spent my whole career at Edinburgh uni, and I remember sending my first email in 1994.

Ooooh you worked at Ed, that’s cool, sounds like we would’ve had a crossover, I was 1997-2001 which feels like a lifetime ago. I do remember Easter Bush - they might have been out there already to be honest - I just felt it was an injustice that the squares were down the road 😆

A good tale, Han. And a good practice to get into, this writing often. Husband and I were just discussing the same over lunch and decided even a sentence written is better than nothing written at all. The voice needs practice! So well done 🥂

Thank you! Yes I think the key is to keep tapping away and see what happens. It also builds the habit doesn’t it - something I’m sadly lacking!!
